King Dedede Amiibo

King Dedede is the self-proclaimed king of Dream Land, a large penguin-like character who's been the franchise's primary recurring antagonist since the original 1992 Kirby's Dream Land. His character beat is being frequently positioned as the main-game-boss but rarely actually evil. The franchise repeatedly establishes Dedede as 'misguided rather than malicious,' and many Kirby games end with Dedede teaming up with Kirby against a worse-actual-villain. The amiibo released September 25, 2015 as part of the Kirby Series quartet.

He pairs with Kirby, Meta Knight, Waddle Dee (the Kirby Series quartet) and the broader Kirby cluster. The Kirby Series quartet is the franchise's most cohesive four-figure wave, and Dedede is the visual heavyweight.
