Kirby Amiibo

Kirby was created in 1992 by Masahiro Sakurai for the original Kirby's Dream Land (Game Boy); Sakurai is now better-known as the Smash director, but Kirby was his first major franchise creation. The Kirby franchise's gameplay-design choice is that the protagonist is a small pink puffball who can swallow enemies and copy their abilities; the copy-ability mechanic has been the franchise's structural identity for over thirty years. The amiibo released September 25, 2015 as part of the Kirby Series quartet alongside Meta Knight, King Dedede, and Waddle Dee.

This figure is the most Kirby canonical of the bunch since it has the yellow star below Kirby.
