About Diddy Kong amiibo
Diddy Kong is DK's nephew, debuted in Donkey Kong Country (1994 SNES), the Rare-developed trilogy that single-handedly revived the DK franchise on the SNES. He's the smaller, faster co-op companion in every DK Country game since, and his Smash inclusion (since Brawl) gave him the secondary 'I am a Smash fighter' identity he carries today. The Mario Series amiibo released March 20, 2015 in the six-figure launch wave.
The figure: brown-and-tan monkey body, red Nintendo cap and shirt with a grin that says "I pooped somwhere I shouldn't but you'll have to find that out yourself later". Smaller than the DK figure on the shelf because Diddy is smaller in the games.
He pairs with Donkey Kong, the Smash Diddy Kong, and the broader DK Country subcluster. The DKC trilogy is one of Rare's most-loved Nintendo-era contributions; Diddy's continued presence across Mario and Smash is one of the franchise's quieter Rare-collaboration legacies.
