Elephant Mario Amiibo

Mario the elephant. He's a power-up from Super Mario Bros. Wonder (2023 Switch), the first new 2D mainline Mario in over a decade, and the entry used its return-to-2D status to commit to bits the franchise hadn't tried before. The Elephant Fruit transforms Mario into a full-body elephant: trunk, tusks, big elephant body, the works. He breaks blocks with his trunk.

The figure: red Mario shirt-and-overalls stretched over a full elephant body, the cap with an 'M' visible on top of the elephant head, the standard 'I am a large elephant about to do something' stance.

He pairs with the Mario-line cluster, Poplin & Prince Florian, and Captain Toad & Talking Flower as the Wonder amiibo wave. Wonder is widely considered the strongest 2D Mario release in over a decade, and Elephant Mario is the entry's most meme-able new power-up. The franchise went 'what if Mario was an elephant' and shipped it without flinching.
