Wario Amiibo

Wario first appeared in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins (1992 Game Boy) as the antagonist who hijacked Mario's castle. The franchise then gave him his own dedicated lines: Wario Land (six entries) and WarioWare (the microgames series). He's one of Nintendo's most-developed recurring antagonist-protagonists, and his entire character thesis is 'I'm-a Wario, I'm-a gonna win,' which is the most honest motivation in the Mario universe. The Mario Series amiibo released April 16, 2017.

He pairs with the Smash Wario (a separate sculpt) and the Mario antagonist subcluster. Wario Land and WarioWare are entirely separate franchise lines, both consistently active, both anchored by the same character. The Waft is implied.
