About Mega Man amiibo
Mega Man's Smash 4 inclusion (2014) was the franchise's commitment to a fan-requested third-party guest fighter, and Sakurai's approach to building Mega Man's Smash moveset was unique: every special move references a different boss-character weapon from the original Mega Man games (Mega Buster, Metal Blade, Crash Bomber, Hard Knuckle, Leaf Shield, Top Spin).
In Smash Ultimate his FP trains with the boss-weapon-themed moveset plus the standard Mega Man speed-and-jump archetype. Every move references a specific Mega Man game's boss-character. Compared to the non Smash Megaman Amiibo, he's shinier and has less of a dynamic pose.
He pairs with Mega Man Gold Edition, the third-party-fighter-guest cluster, and the broader Smash Ultimate roster.
