About Kazuya amiibo
Kazuya Mishima joined Smash specifically so Sakurai could put the Mishima Saga in a Nintendo crossover. Kazuya is the protagonist (sometimes antagonist) of Tekken (Bandai Namco, 1994 arcade), a character whose entire family tree consists of throwing each other off cliffs. The reveal trailer at E3 2021 ended with Kazuya in the iconic Tekken throwing-his-father-Heihachi-off-a-cliff stance, which is the franchise's most iconic recurring sequence. The amiibo released January 13, 2023.
His Smash moveset uses real Tekken-style combo strings. The 'Mishima slingshot' (the infinite-combo punish-launch sequence Tekken players have spent decades optimizing) is in the kit, and crouch-dash inputs work the same way they do in Tekken proper.
He pairs with Ryu, Ken, and Terry as the fighting-game-icon-from-another-publisher Smash sub-cluster. The only Tekken amiibo Nintendo and Bandai Namco have produced together.
