About Meta Knight amiibo
Meta Knight has been Smash's tertiary Kirby-line character since Brawl (2008). His character beat is being the franchise's most aerial-mobility-coded Kirby-line fighter: five-jump aerial recovery, Mach Tornado neutral-special-multihit, Drill Rush side-special-burst, Shuttle Loop up-special-recovery. The amiibo released September 11, 2015.
The Brawl-era Meta Knight was widely-considered the most broken Smash fighter, period. His combat-stat distribution made him so dominant that some tournament organizers banned him entirely. The 'Meta Knight ban' is the franchise's most substantial competitive-meta crisis. Subsequent Smash entries nerfed him to balance with the rest of the roster, but the Brawl ban remains the franchise's most well-known balance-correction event.
In Smash Ultimate his FP trains with the aerial-mobility moveset plus the five-jump recovery system.
He pairs with Kirby Smash, King Dedede Smash, the Kirby Series figures, the Air Riders cluster, and the broader Smash Ultimate roster. The Brawl-ban legacy is real.
