About Ice Climbers amiibo
Ice Climbers (Popo and Nana) are the protagonists of Ice Climber (1985 NES), Nintendo's mountain-climbing platformer where two parka-wearing characters scale increasingly-frozen levels. Their Smash Melee inclusion (2001) was the franchise's first commitment to a tag-team-character roster slot, where both Climbers fight simultaneously as a single fighter.
In Smash Ultimate the FP trains with the dual-character moveset: Popo handles primary controls while Nana mirrors his movements, both Climbers can grab opponents simultaneously for chain-grab combos. The dual-grab mechanic is unique to them in the Smash roster.
The figure: small Popo and Nana in a "we're cute, but we will break your bones" pose. You need to know this, just in case the raised wodden hammer and side hammer wasn't clear enough.
They pair with the Nintendo-history-memory cluster (Mr. Game & Watch, Duck Hunt, R.O.B.).
