Ivysaur Amiibo

Ivysaur is the second-stage evolution of the Bulbasaur / Ivysaur / Venusaur grass-type starter line (1996 Pokemon Red/Blue), and the mid-weight of the three Pokemon Trainer rotation Pokemon in Smash Ultimate. His character beat is the ranged-mid-tier of the Pokemon Trainer trio: vine-whip projectiles, leech-seed area-of-effect attacks, balanced weight-and-speed. The amiibo released September 14, 2018 alongside the Pokemon Trainer figure.

In Smash Ultimate his FP trains as an Ivysaur-specific FP within the trio's rotation system. The figure unlocks Ivysaur-specific stat boosts when paired with the Pokemon Trainer figure.

He pairs with Pokemon Trainer, Squirtle, Charizard (the Pokemon Trainer four-figure subset), Mewtwo, Pichu, Greninja, Incineroar, and the broader Pokemon-line Smash cluster. Most Pokemon Trainer subset collectors own all four figures because the rotation requires the full set.
