Greninja Amiibo

Greninja is the Water-Dark-type final-evolution of the Froakie / Frogadier / Greninja starter line from Pokemon X and Y (2013 3DS), and his Smash 4 inclusion (2014) gave the then-current Pokemon generation Smash representation ahead of the Western Pokemon-game launch. The amiibo released July 24, 2015.

In Smash Ultimate his FP trains with the franchise's most aerial-mobility Pokemon moveset: Water Shuriken neutral-special-charge, Shadow Sneak side-special-mark-and-warp, Hydro Pump up-special-recovery, Substitute down-special-counter. His recovery options give him broad spatial coverage.

He pairs with the Pokemon-line Smash cluster (Mewtwo, Lucario, Pichu, Incineroar, Pokemon Trainer, Charizard, Squirtle, Ivysaur, Pikachu, Jigglypuff). By the way, did you know Greninja's favorite type of game? It's tongue twisters. Sorry.
