Pikachu Amiibo

Pikachu has been Pokemon's primary mascot since the original Pokemon Red/Blue (1996), and Smash's Pikachu has been a continuous playable-character slot since the original Smash (1999). His character beat is being the franchise's most Electric-type-themed fighter: Thunder Jolt projectile, Skull Bash side-special-charge, Quick Attack double-direction-recovery, Thunder vertical-AOE-attack. The amiibo released November 21, 2014.

In Smash Ultimate his FP trains with the Electric-themed moveset plus the small-fast-character archetype: low-weight, fast attack-speed, mobile recovery. The Quick Attack mechanic gives him broad recovery options.

He pairs with Pichu, Mewtwo, Greninja, Incineroar, Pokemon Trainer, Charizard, Squirtle, Ivysaur, the Pokemon-line Smash cluster, Detective Pikachu, and the broader Smash Ultimate roster. The figure stands ready to shock something.
