Bayonetta Amiibo

Bayonetta is the protagonist of Platinum Games's Bayonetta franchise (2009 PS3 / 360, plus Switch sequels), a stylish-action hack-and-slash where the player controls a witch with hair-magic, sky-high heels, and gun-stiletto-shoe combat. Nice.

The Smash 4 inclusion (2016) was the result of the Smash 4 fan-ballot Sakurai ran to determine DLC fighters. Bayonetta won many regions, which forced Sakurai to include her. The amiibo released July 21, 2017.

In Smash Ultimate her FP trains with the franchise's most combo-extension-friendly moveset: Witch Time slow-down counter, Bullet Climax ranged combat, multi-input combo strings that can chain into long-air-juggle sequences. The Bayonetta-tier-list controversy in Smash 4 was the franchise's most divisive competitive-meta moment because her combo-extension was so strong that some tournament organizers banned her from competition.
