Wolf Amiibo

Wolf O'Donnell is the leader of Star Wolf, Fox's rival mercenary team across the Star Fox franchise. His Smash inclusion was originally as a Fox-clone fighter in Brawl (2008), got cut from Smash 4 (2014), and was re-added in Smash Ultimate (2018) with significant moveset differentiation from Fox and Falco. The amiibo released April 12, 2019.

The Wolf cut-and-return arc is the franchise's third major legacy-fighter return, alongside Mewtwo and Lucas. Smash Ultimate's roster slogan was 'Everyone is Here,' which committed the franchise to bringing back every previously-cut fighter.

In Smash Ultimate his FP trains with the franchise's most aggressive Star Fox moveset: Blaster neutral-special-with-bayonet-melee, Wolf Flash side-special-burst, Fire Wolf up-special-recovery, Reflector down-special-shield. His Blaster has a melee-bayonet-attack that gives him close-quarters tactical options.
