Pit Amiibo

Pit is the protagonist of Kid Icarus (1986 NES) and Kid Icarus: Uprising (2012 3DS), a franchise that spent twenty-plus years dormant before Sakurai personally dragged it back. The same Sakurai who runs Smash. Which is why Pit has been a Smash roster mainstay since Brawl in 2008, even though Kid Icarus has had exactly one new game since the NES days. The amiibo released November 21, 2014 as part of the original Smash wave.

His FP fights with the Palutena Bow, Upperdash Arm, Power of Flight recovery, and Guardian Orbitars reflector. The curving-arrow projectile is what makes him distinctive; spacing and arc-control matter more than for most fighters.

He pairs with Palutena, Dark Pit, and the broader Kid Icarus Smash subcluster. Pit's continued Smash presence is single-handedly responsible for Kid Icarus staying in the cultural conversation long after the 3DS game
