About Young Link amiibo
Young Link is the protagonist of Ocarina of Time (1998 N64) and Majora's Mask (2000 N64) in his small-younger-Link configuration. His Smash Melee inclusion (2001) was the franchise's first commitment to having a separate young-Link roster slot from standard-adult-Link. He got cut from Brawl (2008), absent from Smash 4, and re-added in Smash Ultimate (2018) with the 'Everyone is Here' return-wave. The amiibo released July 26, 2019.
The Young-Link cut-and-return arc is the franchise's third major Zelda-line legacy-fighter return, alongside Mewtwo's Pokemon-line return and Wolf's Star Fox-line return.
In Smash Ultimate his FP trains with the standard Hero's Bow / Boomerang / Bombs / Spin Attack moveset, plus the small-fast-young-Link character archetype: lower weight, faster attack-speed, different damage-knockback ratios from standard Link.
The figure: small green-tunic-wearing Young Link with wooden shield.
He pairs with Link Smash, Toon Link, Zelda Smash, Sheik, Ganondorf Smash, and the broader Zelda-line Smash cluster. The figure stands ready to be the smallest Link in the figure-line.
