Ganondorf Amiibo

Ganondorf has been Smash's primary Zelda-line antagonist since Melee (2001). His Smash inclusion was originally as a Captain Falcon-clone fighter (Melee Ganondorf shared most of his moveset with Captain Falcon, which became one of the franchise's most criticized clone-fighter compromises). Subsequent Smash entries have differentiated his moveset, but the Smash 4-era amiibo preserves the Twilight Princess-era Ganondorf in his Smash combat configuration. The amiibo released July 24, 2015.

In Smash Ultimate his FP trains with the franchise's most heavyweight-Zelda moveset: Warlock Punch neutral-special-charge, Flame Choke side-special-grab, Dark Dive up-special-recovery, Wizard's Foot down-special-stomp. His moves all hit hard but commit hard, which means his spacing-and-timing matters more than most Zelda-line fighters.

He pairs with Link Smash, Zelda Smash, Sheik, Toon Link, Young Link, Ganondorf TotK (Zelda Series), and the broader Zelda-line Smash cluster.
