King Dedede Amiibo

King Dedede has been Smash's secondary Kirby-line representative since Brawl (2008). His character beat is the franchise's heavyweight-Kirby tier: slow-attack-speed but high-knockback, the giant wooden hammer as his primary weapon, the Inhale-and-spit-out-Gordo-projectiles as his neutral-special. The amiibo released September 11, 2015.

In Smash Ultimate his FP trains with the heavyweight-Kirby moveset: Inhale-and-spit Gordo neutral-special, Gordo Throw side-special-projectile, Super Dedede Jump up-special-recovery, Jet Hammer down-special-charge. The Gordo-projectile mechanic gives him distinctive ranged-coverage that most heavyweight Smash fighters lack.

He pairs with Kirby Smash, Meta Knight Smash, the Kirby Series figures, the Air Riders cluster, and the broader Smash Ultimate roster.
