Mario Amiibo

Mario has been Smash's lead-off fighter since the original Super Smash Bros. (1999 N64), and his Smash inclusion is the franchise's most essential character slot. The Mario amiibo specifically was the first-released amiibo of the entire figure-line. Nintendo launched the figure-line with Mario because Mario sells. The amiibo released November 21, 2014 alongside Smash 4's launch wave.

In Smash Ultimate his FP trains with the franchise's most balanced moveset: Fireball ranged, Cape reflect, Super Jump Punch recovery, F.L.U.D.D. water-spray. The Mario FP is intentionally beginner-friendly.
