Simon Amiibo

Simon Belmont is the protagonist of Konami's Castlevania franchise (1986 NES onward), the original whip-wielding-vampire-hunter who fought Dracula in the original Castlevania game. The Smash Ultimate inclusion (2018) brought Castlevania into Smash for the first time, with the moveset deliberately built around Castlevania-source-material weaponry: Vampire Killer whip neutral-attacks, Axe up-special-projectile, Holy Water down-special-line-of-fire, Cross side-special-throwing-cross. Sakurai's Konami licensing-relationship from the Snake-in-Brawl negotiation made the Castlevania inclusion possible. The amiibo released April 12, 2019.

In Smash Ultimate his FP trains with the Castlevania weaponry moveset, plus the distinctive whip-attack range that gives him the longest-reach normal-attacks in the Smash roster.
