Riju Amiibo

Riju's amiibo is the figure of TotK's most-grown-up Sage. Riju is the Gerudo Chief, the Sage of Lightning in Tears of the Kingdom (2023), and one of the few characters who appears in both BotW and TotK with a multi-year age gap. BotW Riju was the 12-year-old Gerudo Chief riding around Gerudo Town on Patricia the sand-seal; TotK Riju is older, more battle-hardened, and now wielding the Thunder Helm with full Sage authority. The amiibo released April 12, 2023.

What she does in TotK is grant Riju's Fury, the Sage ability that calls down a thunder-strike AOE at the player's targeting reticle. Riju's Fury is the spiritual successor to Urbosa's Fury (BotW Champion ability), with the input mechanic adapted for TotK's free-aim system. The Gerudo-line lightning ability is an inherited mechanic across two games.

She pairs with Tulin, Yunobo, Sidon, and Mineru's Construct as the five-Sage TotK cluster.

Most franchise characters appear at the same age across entries because the franchise resets its timelines aggressively. Riju is one of the few 'I was 12 last game and now I am older and have grown into my role' characters. The figure represents that growth.
