Robin Amiibo

Robin is the player-character avatar of Fire Emblem: Awakening (2012 3DS), the franchise entry that revived the Fire Emblem series after a sales-decline that nearly killed the franchise. Robin's Smash 4 inclusion (2014) gave Awakening representation in Smash, and the moveset is uniquely tactical: Robin's tomes and sword have limited durability, requiring the player to manage Robin's resource-economy across the match. The amiibo released February 5, 2016.

Most Smash fighters have unlimited move-usage. Robin's moves break and need to recharge. The franchise commits to its character-archetype mechanics.

In Smash Ultimate their FP trains with the resource-management moveset: Thunder Tome charging-special, Arcfire ranged-burn, Nosferatu drain-attack, Elwind aerial-spike.

They pair with Lucina, Marth, Roy, Ike, Corrin, Chrom, Byleth, and the broader Fire Emblem-line Smash cluster. Most FE-Awakening fans own this figure because Awakening was the franchise's most substantial reset moment.
