About Wario amiibo

Smash Wario's entire kit is built around the Wario Waft, the most-discussed gas-attack in fighting-game history. He has a passive meter that fills over time: the longer you don't use his down-special, the stronger the down-special gets, building from 'small fart that does light damage' to 'massive explosion that one-shots opponents at any percent.' Players actively choose between popping it early or saving it for the late-match nuke. The amiibo released March 20, 2015.

His other moves are equally on-brand. Chomp eats opponents, projectiles, and bombs, which he then excretes later for damage. The Wario Bike is a literal motorcycle he summons and rides; the bike persists on stage, can be picked up and thrown, can be eaten via Chomp. Corkscrew recovery. Wario-Man Final Smash where he eats Garlic and transforms into a glowing rage-form for fifteen seconds.

The figure uses his WarioWare design and he pairs with Mario, the WarioWare subcluster, and the Mario-line Smash cluster. The Waft is the franchise's most meme'd move; the Smash community has spent years arguing whether it's overpowered, underpowered, or fundamentally a joke that accidentally became competitive. It's all three.
