Link Archer is BotW Link in his Climbing Gear and bow-drawn pose, mid-shot, Hylian Bow at full tension. He's the figure-form representation of the single most-iconic BotW gameplay state: bow-aiming in mid-air after a paraglider drop, the slow-motion-bullet-time trick every BotW player learned in the first ten hours and used for the next two hundred. Released June 23, 2017 alongside Link Rider and the Guardian.

Tap him on BotW and he drops higher-tier weaponry and rare ingredients, biased toward bows because the figure depicts a bow-pose. The loot-table-matches-the-pose mapping is the most thematically coherent figure-to-drop pairing in the line.

He pairs with Link Rider, the Guardian, and the four-Champion cluster. Most franchise Links are green-tunic-and-Master-Sword. This one isn't, which is exactly why it stands out on a shelf full of Links.
